The Importance Of Rest
Although this week’s post will be brief, it is still an important reminder of the need to slow down and take time to breathe. It is vital in our lives, to have moments where we step away to refocus and recenter mind, body and soul.
It keeps us connected to our Creator and fuels the flames of our drive, both of which are essential pieces to our life puzzle. Multiple times in scripture we are told that Jesus stepped away to pray and remove Himself from the constant barrage of the crowds. We must do no less.
Understandably, some may feel guilty for pausing work for the Kingdom, regardless of what that may look like. Dear friends, allow me to point out another tactic of the devil, which wears us down and makes us vulnerable to attack. Weariness creates weakness.
Rest is good and necessary.
Quiet spaces bring us closer to the Almighty.
Self-reflection is essential for growing strong faith roots.
So, as I practice what I preach this week and step away for a much needed pause in the day to day grind, consider how you can do the same.
Contemplate how to incorporate moments into your routine where you can be like Christ, removing yourself from the chaos, even if just briefly.
Those moments where you can Live Beautifully Simple.
